Canoe Journey 2025

On July 26th we set off to Suquamish for my third year driving support boat for the week long canoe journey in Puget Sound. This year we started our journey in Suquamish with a final destination of Lower Elwa.

On July 27th we started the first day of paddling and the canoes went from Bremerton to Suquamish. This is a 14 mile paddle through Port Orchard and the Agate Passage to land at the old man house in Suquamish.

On July 28th, the second day of paddling the canoes went from Suquamish to Port Gamble. This is a 30 mile paddle that we have to go up and around foulweather bluff and into the port.

On July 29th we had to head back north out of Port Gamble heading to Port Townsend. This is a 22 mile paddle through Oak Bay into the Portage Canal. After the Canal we headed towards the Walan Point and the Naval Base. Once past the Naval Base we landed on beach at Fort Worden.

July 30th paddle from Port Townsend to Jamestown was canceled because of a tsunami that hit the west coast the night before and the high winds that were predicted for day.

July 31st paddle from Jamestown to Lower Elwa was canceled because high winds that were predicted for day. Some Tribes tried to paddle to the landing and were capsized and saved by the coast guard.

Please enjoy the pictures I took on this trip and if you love any of them and would like to help support my next trip please consider purchasing a print here to decorate your house with.
